Best Juice I Have Made So Far!

  • 6 leaves of Swiss Chard
  • 1 small cucumber
  • 3 carrots
  • 1 beet
  • 2 inches of ginger
  • 1 lime (peel removed cause it is bitter)
  • 1/4 bunch Thai basil leaves
This makes two wine glasses full.  People often ask me how much veggie juice should they should make?  My answer is a wine glass full since the sugars (even if you are only juicing veggies) can overwhelm the liver/pancreas.  I like to use beet BUT it can “push” the liver, so you need to be careful and just use a small amount.  If you have problems with blood sugar fluctuations use either beet or carrot, but not both.   General rule of thumb is not to mix fruit with veggies for proper digestability of the juice.  If you are new to juicing here are some juicing guidelines to get you started.  Last but not least, remember to CHEW your juice.  That’s right you heard me, CHEW!  It gets the salivary enzymes flowing so that your body can better digest what you are sending down.  ENJOY!
